William and Hamid were at the seaside. They were staying in a cottage overlooking the beach. 'These cottages are hundreds of years old,' said Hamid. 'They must have been here in the in the days of pirates and smugglers. I bet it was exciting living in those times.'
'Why don't we go and talk to old Captain Hood from next door?' suggested William. 'I bet he used to be a pirate. He looks like one.'
