The Lemonade War
Evan Treski is good at understanding people, while his younger sister, Jessie, excels at mathematics but struggles to understand other people's feelings. When they discover that they will be in the same fourth-grade class, their summer takes an unexpected turn.
With only five days left before school begins, the siblings start competing to see who can earn $100 first by selling lemonade. As their rivalry intensifies, they experiment with pricing, marketing, budgeting, and business strategies. However, their competition also causes misunderstandings and threatens their relationship.
Through humour, mathematics, and business concepts, Jacqueline Davies explores sibling rivalry, problem-solving, entrepreneurship, empathy, and the importance of understanding different perspectives.
